The series spans five main entries and several spin-offs; Gearbox also says more Borderlands 4 content is in development for next year, while weekly activities and community challenges will continue.

Explained simply
Borderlands is a video game series made by Gearbox Software and published by 2K Games. Its main games combine shooting with collecting weapons and other equipment, and can be played alone or with friends.
The series began in 2009 and is known for comic-style graphics and irreverent humour. It has grown to include five main games and several spin-offs, giving players different stories and settings within the same fictional universe.
Golden Keys are in-game items that open special chests containing equipment. They are part of the series’ reward system, alongside regular activities and updates that encourage players to keep returning.
