Sonya Isaacs Yeary, known for her work with the family bluegrass gospel group the Isaacs, was born in LaFollette, Tennessee, on 22 July 1974. As a solo artist and songwriter, she has charted on the Billboard Hot Country Songs list and co-wrote "I'm Gonna Love You Through It" with her husband Jimmy Yeary, which became Martina McBride's most recent top 10 hit. Her career, rooted in a musically rich upbringing, has made her a notable figure in country and gospel music circles, influencing artists such as Carly Pearce.

Isaacs grew up performing with her parents' bluegrass gospel band, later named the Isaacs, having joined them onstage from around age seven.
