McConnell, 23, competes at light-middleweight against India’s Sumit Sumit on Monday, while 23-year-old Rock faces Niue’s Karen Te Ruki Pasene in the welterweight division the following day. Rock, whose father Jim won Irish titles in four weight classes, said she would rather make her name in sport; McConnell said he might consider Love Island after winning gold.
