Emergency services, including police, the Civil Guard, fire brigade and medical teams, were dispatched, but the boy later died at a local health centre; another child suffered a suspected broken leg. Authorities have requested a Civil Guard investigation and psychological support for the family, while separate World Cup celebrations in Mexico City earlier this month also proved fatal, claiming four lives.
