Boy George has announced a concert at Tel Aviv’s Menora Arena on 4 November 2026, despite an ongoing cultural boycott of Israel by parts of the music industry. He said music should be shared wherever audiences want to hear it, while expressing support for Jewish people and calling for peace, compassion and humanity.

The announcement follows controversy over his July single ‘We Will Dance Again’, which takes a pro-Israel position and rejects claims of genocide. The backlash contributed to his withdrawal from the West End production of Jesus Christ Superstar and his split with BGP manager Tony Pontius; he also threatened to dismiss bandmates who refused to perform the song. The event is billed as a Boy George concert rather than a Culture Club show.
