The artist responded through Instagram expressing frustration about the removal and requesting a refund whilst encouraging fans to obtain and distribute the track elsewhere.

The removal appears to stem from Bandcamp's longstanding prohibition against AI-generated music rather than objection to the song's pro-Israel message. Boy George acknowledged using AI tools during the track's production, which directly violated the platform's explicit policy against AI-created content. The song's release has triggered significant consequences for the artist, including his withdrawal from a scheduled West End theater engagement and the dissolution of his professional relationship with his longtime manager, who had opposed the song's release.
