Boy Harsher have announced their new album, ‘GET MEAN’, and released “Hard Beat” with a self-directed music video. The announcement marks the darkwave duo’s major-label debut and introduces a record shaped by grief, heartbreak and recovery following a difficult period for its members.

The 12-track album is due on 18 September via Atlantic Records and includes the previously released single “Jeans”. Jae Matthews and Augustus Muller ended their romantic relationship in early 2024; the album was subsequently recorded across eight locations in the United States, Mexico and Italy. The “Hard Beat” video, made with cinematographer Owen Smith-Clark, explores surveillance, deviance and trauma.
