Bramall Lane stand takes mental health charity name

feeds.bbci.co.uk · 4 hours ago

Sheffield United’s Kop Stand at Bramall Lane will be renamed after Andy’s Man Club, a men’s mental health and suicide-prevention charity, ahead of the new Championship season. The move aims to use football’s reach to raise awareness of support available to men and encourage conversations about mental health.

Datagraphic, an official club partner, has donated its naming rights to the charity for two seasons. Andy’s Man Club was founded in 2016 after 23-year-old Andrew Roberts died by suicide; it now runs more than 350 free groups nationwide and online, with the new signage due before Saturday’s match against Birmingham City.
