Brandon Flowers has released ‘Tiger’s Blood’, a nostalgic new single from his forthcoming solo album, Thrasher, due on 21 August via Island Records. The anthemic, Springsteen-influenced track signals Flowers’ exploration of country-western sounds while maintaining his connection to rock music.

Flowers first performed the song at Newport Folk Festival and recorded it in Nashville with longtime producers Shawn Everett and Jonathan Rado. Thrasher features musicians including David Rawlings, Bruce Bouton and Charlie McCoy; Flowers will support it with a US tour from 1 September in Phoenix to 6 October in Las Vegas, after recently discussing doubts about how long he wishes to continue making music.
