Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn TTRPG Lays the Groundwork for His Next Series

Brotherwise Games’ new Mistborn role-playing books cover two eras of Brandon Sanderson’s world of Scadrial and leave room for his planned third trilogy. The project matters because the developers worked with Sanderson’s team to expand the setting while avoiding details that could constrain the upcoming novels.

The books include a player handbook, a world guide and a campaign, with rules for 16 metals and 32 powers. Brotherwise added lore about the Set, a secret organisation, and the guide establishes some character details that may inform Apple TV’s planned adaptation. The rules also hint at games spanning different worlds in Sanderson’s wider Cosmere.
