ABC will broadcast ‘Disney Princess: The Ultimate Concert Celebration’ on 16 August, featuring footage from a D23 Expo concert that brought together prominent performers associated with Disney princess films. The special matters as it reunites original and newer voices from across Disney’s catalogue, while also serving as a promotional showcase for the studio’s streaming and live-TV offerings.

The concert included Jodi Benson (Ariel), Paige O’Hara (Belle), Auli’i Cravalho (Moana) and Brandy, who played Cinderella in the 1997 television film. Halle Bailey joined Benson for material connected to ‘The Little Mermaid’, while Brandy performed ‘A Whole New World’ with Lea Salonga; the programme is scheduled for 8pm on ABC, with streaming also available through Disney+ and certain live-TV services. It will include Disneyland fireworks and light displays, and revisit princess films from 1937’s ‘Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs’ to 2024’s ‘Moana 2’.
