Blabbermouth · 3 hours ago

Breaking Benjamin's latest single, "Something Wicked", has reached No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, marking the ninth career chart-topper for the American hard rock band. The track, first performed live at the Welcome To Rockville festival earlier this year, is being positioned as a preview of the band's upcoming studio album and shows the group leaning into darker, more atmospheric territory while retaining their established sound.

Since release, "Something Wicked" has racked up nearly 11 million streams worldwide and topped both the Apple Music and iTunes rock charts in its debut week. It follows 2024's comeback single "Awaken", which hit No. 1 on the Rock Digital Songs chart and has since passed 133 million streams. Formed around 2002's "Saturate", Breaking Benjamin have built a catalogue of nine No. 1 rock radio hits, multiple platinum releases and over 8.5 billion combined streams; the band will also launch a US tour on 2 September in Camden, New Jersey, running through late October with support from Chevelle, Starset and Kami Kehoe.
