Briarcliff Entertainment will release supernatural drama Nickels in select cinemas and on premium video on demand on 2 October. The film follows a businessman whose unresolved grief over his brother’s fatal motorcycle accident resurfaces after a neighbour’s son is seriously injured in a similar crash, forcing him to confront questions of faith, loss and second chances.

Rob Riggle plays protagonist Tom Monroe, alongside Bitsie Tulloch as his wife and Odessa A’zion as his daughter; the cast also includes Rebecca Gayheart, Vinessa Shaw, Aaron Holliday and Tom Arnold. Directed by Spencer King and written by Tim Tuchrello, the Los Angeles-shot film was produced by Briarcliff chief executive Tom Ortenberg with Danielle Goodman Strong, Andrew Ortenberg and Jordan Dykstra.
