Brilliant Bannsiders return to summit with big win

Coleraine returned to the top of the Irish Premiership after beating 10-man Crusaders 5-0 at Seaview. Their fourth consecutive win, and seventh away victory from seven league trips this season, puts them two points clear and strengthens their bid to end a 52-year wait for the Gibson Cup.

Scot Rough was sent off after 11 minutes, and Ben Wylie opened the scoring soon afterwards; Senan Devine and captain Joel Cooper added goals before half-time. An own goal by Jacob Blaney and Adam Brooks’s first goal for Coleraine completed the scoring. Coleraine have dropped five points in 13 league games, scoring 31 and conceding 12, but face tougher tests against Glentoran and Linfield next.
