BritBox Is Officially Dropping 9 New Agatha Christie Releases on the Same Day

Collider · 2 hours ago

BritBox is marking the 136th anniversary of Agatha Christie's birth with a major slate of nine releases arriving on the streaming service on 15 September, mixing archive classics with a brand new series. The centrepiece is the North American debut of *Tommy and Tuppence*, a fresh six-episode adaptation bringing Christie's married detective duo into a modern setting, alongside a large batch of restored Warner Bros. film adaptations from the 1960s to the 1980s.

The release is structured into five themed weekly "eras" spanning the month, including titles such as "A Taste for Poison" and "Murders in the Village". The eight classic films include Margaret Rutherford's Miss Marple outings (*Murder She Said*, *Murder at the Gallop*, *Murder Most Foul*, *Murder Ahoy!*), Tony Randall as Poirot in *The Alphabet Murders*, Helen Hayes in *A Caribbean Mystery*, an ensemble cast including Bill Bixby and Olivia de Havilland in *Murder Is Easy*, and Peter Ustinov opposite Faye Dunaway in *Thirteen at Dinner*. *Tommy and Tuppence* stars Josh Dylan and Antonia Thomas as the title characters, who in Christie's original novels famously aged in real time across the stories.
