Brooke Shields’ New Coming-of-Age Movie Officially Reveals First Trailer [Exclusive]

The indie comedy-drama *Quarter* has released its first trailer and poster ahead of its 13 November release, one day before World Diabetes Day. Written by Kelsey Bascom and inspired by her experiences with type 1 diabetes, the film follows a young woman reassessing her life as she approaches a quarter-life milestone.

Bascom co-directed the film with Arnon Manor and plays Kelly, who begins to rethink her solitary habits after dangerously low blood sugar leads to a near-death experience. The story explores her disability and relationships with help from family, colleagues and her imagination. Brooke Shields, whose daughter has type 1 diabetes, is an executive producer and co-star; the film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival earlier this year.
