Bruce Dickinson, frontman of Iron Maiden, will join the Beethoven Academy Orchestra for a special performance at the Spodek Arena in Katowice, Poland, as part of "The Legend Of Rock Symphonic" concert series. The show will see Dickinson's own works and Iron Maiden hits reimagined in original symphonic arrangements, alongside orchestral versions of songs by Metallica, Queen, Deep Purple and AC/DC, blending rock performance with a full classical ensemble.

The concert takes place on 30 January 2027 at 8pm, conducted by Stanisław Słowiński, with guest vocalists including Grzegorz Kupczyk, Andrzej Kraiński and Grzegorz Stępień, plus additional guitarists and a drummer. It follows Dickinson's history of orchestral collaborations, including performances of Jon Lord's "Concerto For Group And Orchestra" in Hungary in 2021 and across Europe and South America in 2023. Dickinson, who joined Iron Maiden in 1982 and rejoined in 1999 after a solo career break, turns 68 this week and fully recovered from tongue cancer treatment eleven years ago.
