BTS performed two sold-out shows at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on 1 and 2 August as part of their Arirang world tour, drawing capacity crowds and extensive fan celebrations across New York City. The dates mark a major stop on the group's return to large-scale touring, with surprise song selections and a notable shout-out from member RM to rapper Nas, who attended the second night's performance.

Across the two shows, BTS performed surprise tracks including "Dis-ease", "Run", "Autumn Leaves" and "Go Go", alongside setlist staples such as "Hooligans". In Manhattan, fans gathered before the shows at official pop-up events held at the Korean Cultural Center and Grand Central Station as part of the "BTS the City Arirang Project", where they customised lightsticks and T-shirts. Every seat in the stadium, including the highest tiers, was reported full for the performances.
