Polygon has published a guide detailing the new "Basin" habitats added to Pokémon Pokopia's Habitat Dex as part of the Bubbly Basin DLC. Habitats work the same as those in the base game, where players place specific items together to attract and register a Pokémon, but the new Basin habitats require ownership of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass to unlock.

– 36 new Basin habitats have been added, mostly using DLC-exclusive items that can often be found around the Bubbly Basin area
– Some recipes require raising your Environment Level or finding items via the Basin Dream Island
– Habitats include themes like coral reefs, sandy digging spots, treasure chests and bubbly stages, attracting Pokémon such as Mudkip, Corsola, Swampert and Malamar
– Polygon notes the guide is a work in progress, as some Pokémon appearing from certain habitats are still unconfirmed
