Rare Pokémon cards worth £12,000 stolen from Dorset home during holiday

Daily Mail ·

Twelve rare Pokémon cards worth about £12,000 were stolen from Nathan Dallimore’s home in West Moors, Dorset, while he was away on a family holiday. As nothing else was taken apart from cash and the safe containing the cards, he suspects the burglary may have been targeted, though he acknowledges the thieves might simply have been lucky.

Dallimore had bought the cards with his twin brother for £50 around nine or ten years ago; they were later graded in pristine condition by Professional Sports Authenticator. Dorset Police say the burglars entered through a bathroom window and took the safe from a bedroom cupboard. The cards’ certification numbers could help identify them if they are offered for sale; enquiries continue and no arrests have been made.
