Abdul Burton reached the European Boxing Championships’ super-bantamweight final after defeating Turkey’s Semih Gumus 4-1 in Sofia. The 20-year-old will meet Russia’s Viacheslav Rogozin on Friday, as Great Britain targets three European titles.

Chantelle Reid and Damar Thomas also reached finals in the women’s light-middleweight and men’s super-heavyweight divisions. Dimeji Shittu and Callum Makin lost their semi-finals by 4-1 but secured bronze medals, while Burton said he was pleased with his performance and determined to win gold.
