New York City kitten rescue Itty Bitty City Kitties says it will reject adopters whose expressed views or conduct indicate support for cruelty, bigotry or harm, including MAGA-related positions. Director Samantha Knox said the policy is intended to protect vulnerable animals and assess applicants’ conduct and values, but it has attracted criticism for appearing to exclude people based on political beliefs.

The rescue describes itself as a registered 501(c)(3) organisation specialising in orphaned and neonatal kittens. PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk argued that adoptions should be based on behaviour rather than political affiliation, while Knox said the agency does not screen applicants solely by registered party membership and has received hostile messages after publicising its stance.
