Asian Project Market selects 30 films from record entries

Busan’s Asian Project Market has selected 30 feature-film projects for its 2026 edition, drawn from a record number of submissions. The selection highlights the market’s growing role in connecting Asian filmmakers with international industry partners and showcases stories addressing identity, family, social realities and ethical conflict.
The market received 604 submissions from 48 countries, 149 more than in 2025, including 423 from Asia and 137 from South Korea. The chosen projects represent 20 countries and span genres from courtroom dramas and crime thrillers to queer romantic comedies and mystery films, combining debut features with work by established festival filmmakers.
