A Delta Air Lines flight made an emergency landing at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport on Tuesday afternoon after fumes were detected in the cabin. The crew of Flight 1390, travelling from New York, declared an emergency to secure priority handling from air traffic control, and all passengers and crew disembarked safely once the aircraft landed.

All 125 passengers and five crew members left the plane without injury after O'Hare granted the flight priority to land. Delta said its crew followed established safety procedures once the fumes were detected, and the aircraft will undergo further evaluation. The airline emphasised that passenger and crew safety remains its top priority, and the incident was still developing at the time of reporting.
