Caffè Tucci, a family-run café in Sheffield, was targeted by burglars in the early hours of Saturday morning when an intruder smashed through the front window and took cash from the tills. The thief made off with approximately two hundred pounds, whilst damage to the door will cost £700 to repair. The forced closure for police investigation until midday Sunday cost the business around £600 in lost weekend sales during what the owner identified as their busiest trading period.

The burglary represents a second severe disruption within days. A major power outage on 30 July devastated the café's operations, destroying thousands of pounds' worth of stock, damaging equipment, and halting business. Co-owner Salvatore Capasso described the combined impact as particularly challenging during the quiet summer season, yet publicly maintained a positive stance, sharing videos of himself dancing on social media and directly appealing to Sheffield residents to support the family business.
