Caitlin Clark led the Indiana Fever to a 99-89 victory over the Las Vegas Aces in a critical playoff Game 2, avoiding elimination and forcing a deciding Game 3 on Thursday. Clark's performance was historically significant, as she became the first WNBA player to record a points-assists double-double (25+ points and 15+ assists) in a single game, regular season or playoffs. Her performance under pressure proved decisive, as she channelled frustration from a second-quarter technical foul into an inspired performance that helped spark a 24-6 run and a dominant second quarter.

Clark finished with 27 points, 15 assists and seven rebounds before fouling out with 2:45 remaining in the fourth quarter. In the first half alone, she posted 14 points and 11 assists in just 19 minutes, setting up teammates Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston for 30 combined points in the paint. The Fever outscored the defending champion Aces 30-17 in the second quarter and held a 48-43 halftime lead, whilst Las Vegas' Jackie Young led the Aces with 31 points.
