‘Call of Duty’ Director’s Cult Favorite War Thriller Officially Hits Streaming

Peter Berg’s 2013 war thriller *Lone Survivor*, starring Mark Wahlberg, is set to arrive on Peacock, making the film available to a new generation of viewers. Its streaming release comes as Berg returns to war films and the second season of *The Terminal List*, featuring Taylor Kitsch, is streaming.

The film is based on a real incident in Afghanistan in which American soldiers were ambushed by Taliban forces. Alongside Wahlberg, its cast includes Kitsch, Ben Foster and Emile Hirsch. It received mostly positive reviews, though some critics objected to its tone, and it performed better in the United States than overseas.
