Camila Mendes, Leslie Bibb Shooting ‘Upgraded 2’ in Venice, Where Biennale Art Show Is Part of Rom-Com’s Storyline
Filming is under way in Venice on “Upgraded 2”, the sequel to Amazon MGM Studios’ 2024 romantic comedy, with Camila Mendes returning as Ana Santos and Leslie Bibb joining the cast. The Venice Biennale is part of the story, as Ana seeks to make her mark in the art world.
Director Becca Gleason began shooting on 21 October at venues including the Biennale headquarters, Palazzo Franchetti and the Moro Venice restaurant. After 12 days in Venice, production is due to move to Rome for a further 33 days; Bibb’s role has not been disclosed. The original film’s writers, Luke Roberts and Justin Matthews, wrote the sequel.
