Camilo’s ‘Vida de Rico’ Enters YouTube’s Billion Views Club
Colombian singer-songwriter Camilo has notched a career milestone as his 2020 hit "Vida de Rico" surpasses one billion views on YouTube, joining an elite group of music videos to reach the figure. Directed by his wife, Evaluna Montaner, the video is Camilo's second to hit the billion-view mark, following his 2018 breakthrough collaboration with Mau y Ricky and Manuel Turizo, "Desconocidos," underlining his sustained popularity in Latin pop.
"Vida de Rico" topped Billboard's Latin Airplay chart in its 16th week on the list (dated 30 January 2021) and spent several weeks atop the Latin Pop Airplay chart, while Camilo performed it at Billboard's virtual Latin Music Week in 2020 and the Latin Grammy Awards the following year. The six-time Latin Grammy winner is currently touring on his Camilo Worldwide Tour, with 14 Mexican dates from 28 August to 20 September before further stops in San Juan, Santo Domingo and the US, ultimately concluding in Bogotá on 11 December. He is also working on his fifth studio album, the follow-up to 2024's "cuatro."
