Kreator guitarist Sami Yli-Sirniö and bassist Frédéric Leclercq have discussed whether music can still unite people, in an interview with Kati Rausch of Music Interview Corner. The pair reflected on the power of music in an era of division, noting that while it may not carry the same cultural weight it did in the 1960s and 1970s, it can still make a difference and, at the very least, offer listeners an escape from reality.

Yli-Sirniö said he hoped music retained the power to bring people together, though he was uncertain it could match the impact of earlier decades, while Leclercq argued that providing "escapism" and entertainment was itself a valuable role, comparing his view to Alice Cooper's stance that music is primarily entertainment. The interview comes as Kreator continue promoting their sixteenth studio album, "Krushers Of The World", released in January 2026, which was followed by a 20-country European tour with Carcass, Exodus and Nails, and a US headline run in May taking in festivals including Welcome To Rockville and Maryland Deathfest.
