Canadian power metal band The Scepter played a special, free concert inside a healthcare facility in Ottawa to give one dedicated fan the live-music experience his medical condition otherwise prevents him from having. The gesture, organised at the request of Bruyère Health, turned a hospital board room into an impromptu metal venue and highlighted how music can offer comfort and joy to patients facing serious health challenges.

The fan, 27-year-old Tim Berry, was dressed by hospital staff in a metal T-shirt and given freshly painted nails for the occasion, and was joined by fellow patients for the performance. The Scepter teamed up with local venue Dominion Tavern to stage the show, which staff described as deeply emotional; Bruyère Health chaplain Roshene Lawson said nurses were left in tears afterwards, while the band's guitarist Josh Collins admitted the moment was intense enough that they were "happy to have our sunglasses on."
