Malaysian sales agent Abnormal Studios has picked up worldwide international sales rights to "Ali & Ben's Spicy Meats," a cannibal black comedy-horror from sibling filmmakers Iskander and Feisal Azizuddin. The film will be launched at the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM) in Busan this October, marking a notable deal for a genre rarely tackled in mainstream Malaysian cinema, which the directors use as both literal premise and social metaphor for desperation and ambition.
The film, the ninth independent feature from the brothers under their Feisk Productions banner, follows two struggling friends whose spicy beef jerky recipe – containing a human ingredient – propels them towards fortune and moral collapse. It stars Amir Nafis alongside Syazani Zikry and Bella Imani, and incorporates hand-drawn illustrations by Gladys Lee and Qistina Ishak. Kuala Lumpur-based Abnormal Studios, a Westec Media Limited subsidiary that brings around 100 titles to market annually across Asia-Pacific, has previously handled successes including "How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies" and "Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In."

The deal is tied to the Asian Contents & Film Market (ACFM), an industry event held alongside the Busan International Film Festival in South Korea, where films are pitched and sold to international buyers. This gives the film a platform to reach audiences and distributors beyond Malaysia.
