BBC Sport · 3 hours ago

Olivia Breen won T38 long jump gold for Team Wales at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, adding to her silver in the 100m earlier in the week. The victory gave Wales its sixth gold medal and strengthened Breen’s status as the country’s most successful female Commonwealth Games competitor.

The 30-year-old opened with a 5.09m jump, beyond her 2018 Games record but wind-assisted, before setting a wind-legal record of 5.03m in round two. Australia’s Layla Sharp took silver with 5.06m and 15-year-old Ayla Kowalczyk won bronze; Breen now has five Commonwealth Games medals, including three golds.
