Ronald Fischer, 70, has appeared in a Rhode Island court under his real name after more than 20 years on the run, having allegedly disappeared during his sexual assault trial. His arrest ends a long fugitive case that had featured on “America’s Most Wanted” and returns the matter to the courts.

Fischer had reportedly been living under the alias “Dr Richard Graydon” before his arrest last week. At a hearing in Newport Superior Court, he identified himself as Ronald Fischer and a judge cancelled an outstanding warrant connected to his alias.
