Carly Rae Jepsen has released "After All", the second single from her forthcoming double album Day and Night, showcasing a softer, soul-inflected sound reminiscent of Jungle or Khruangbin rather than her usual pop style. The release matters as another step in the rollout of her first new album since 2023's The Loveliest Time, signalling a stylistic shift for the singer as she builds anticipation ahead of the record's autumn release.

The track features skittering drums, delicate piano and a rising backing choir on its chorus, and arrives with a music video showing a heavily pregnant Jepsen basking in sunlight while reflecting on a dinner party, filmed before the birth of her daughter in March 2026. "After All" follows last month's single "On Wires" and sits on the daytime portion of Day and Night, a 24-track double album due for release on 18th September. Jepsen has not yet confirmed a full tour but is set to appear at New York's All Things Go festival this autumn.
