Country singer Carrie Underwood surprised fellow worshippers at Rolling Hills Community Church in Nashville by performing Hillsong Worship's "What A Beautiful Name" during a Sunday service. Dressed casually, she was backed by a choir of fellow congregants, and footage of the moment spread widely on social media. The appearance is the latest example of Underwood folding her Christian faith into her public life alongside her country music career.

Underwood has previously performed at the church for Christmas and Easter services, and released a gospel album, My Savior, in 2021, which won Best Roots Gospel Album at the 2022 Grammy Awards. The American Idol judge has also spoken publicly about her faith, praising the show for airing a Songs of Faith-themed episode and telling The Christian Post that success in entertainment need not come at the cost of one's values.
