Casio Launches ‘Mother 3’ Watch For Game’s 20th Anniversary

Nintendo Life · 20 hours ago

Casio has released a limited-edition G-Shock watch in Japan to mark the 20th anniversary of Mother 3, the Game Boy Advance role-playing game that was released in 2006 but never officially localised outside Japan, though a fan translation has allowed English-speaking players to experience it. The watch is notable partly because the Mother series has had little official commemoration from Nintendo itself, leaving fans reliant on third-party tributes like this one, and Casio is offering international shipping so overseas fans have a chance to buy it.

The watch is finished in bright yellow to evoke the game's sunflower field, features Mr. Saturn sprites on the strap and the Mother logo on the face, and its display shows pixel-art sunflowers when lit up in the dark. It costs ¥19,800 (around $160/£145) and is being sold through a lottery system rather than direct sale, with winners announced on 5th August 2026; those selected cannot cancel or return their order, and shipping will begin in August once the lottery closes.
