Sheffield Theatres has announced the full cast for a Shakespeare double-bill at the Crucible, with one ensemble performing in both King Lear and Twelfth Night. The repertory approach means actors will take different roles across the productions, while Ian McDiarmid and Mathew Horne lead the two plays.

McDiarmid will play Lear and Horne will play Malvolio, joined by 15 other performers including Justina Kehinde, Bebe Sanders and Fode Simbo. Titas Halder directs King Lear, running from 29 August to 19 September 2026, while Jamie Glover directs Twelfth Night from 10 to 31 October; King Lear is presented with the Michael Grandage Company.
