Castlevania: Belmont's Curse, the first new mainline instalment in the long-dormant gothic horror series in over a decade, has revealed its voice cast in a Gamescom trailer, confirming Graham McTavish (Outlander, House of the Dragon) will once again voice Dracula. The game follows Rose Belmont, daughter of Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belnades, and marks a significant return for a franchise that has been largely inactive since 2014's poorly received Lords of Shadow 2, sustained in the interim mainly by Netflix's animated series and legacy game collections.

Set 23 years after Dracula's defeat in Castlevania III, the story sees Rose accompany Trevor to a monster-overrun Medieval Paris, wielding the family's Vampire Killer whip to investigate the castle's reappearance. The cast also includes Abby Trott as Rose, JB Blanc as Trevor, and Alejandra Reynoso reprising Sypha from the Netflix show, alongside Ray Chase, Erica Lindbeck, Aaron LaPlante and Liam O'Brien in supporting roles. Development has been handed to Evil Empire (The Rogue Prince of Persia) and Motion Twin (Dead Cells) rather than Konami in-house, with the game aiming to revive the Metroidvania style popularised by Symphony of the Night ahead of its October 2026 release.
