Rock Paper Shotgun previews Cat Mail Co., a cosy first-person game from Gamersky Games and Maracas Studio in which the player takes over a run-down post office serving a clientele of cats. In the game you inherit the business from a retiring postmaster who has left packages piled up in disarray, and you serve cats who arrive at a front-desk bell to either collect or drop off mail. Collections rely on vague clues such as a parcel being "tied with a red ribbon" or bearing a clover sticker, while drop-offs require stamping the correct destination, weighing the parcel, applying the right number of stamps, and using an X-ray machine to add fragile or heavy stickers; each shift ends by loading a boat with parcels bound for the cat captain's next port. The writer wishes the cats revealed more about themselves and that the X-ray let players glimpse the contents, and, lacking that, says they will keep inventing back stories for the cats they serve.
