CBS News has announced extensive live and special programming for 11 September 2026, marking the 25th anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the United States. The coverage, spanning morning and primetime slots and also streamed on Paramount+, joins similarly expanded commemorative output from ABC News, NBC News, Fox News Channel, MS NOW and CNN, reflecting how the milestone anniversary has prompted broadcasters to go beyond their usual annual remembrance segments.

Coverage begins on "CBS Mornings" with Gayle King and Nate Burleson, alongside anchor Tony Dokoupil reporting from Ground Zero and Norah O'Donnell from the Pentagon, before the pair front a 90-minute special report from 8.30am covering memorial events in New York, Shanksville and the Pentagon. Dokoupil returns at 6.30pm for a Ground Zero edition of "CBS Evening News", followed by the 8pm special "We Remember", featuring stories including Lesley Stahl revisiting a report on Summit, New Jersey, which lost nine residents, and O'Donnell interviewing General Dan Caine, chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff. A 9pm programme, "Daughters of 9/11", examines efforts to bring alleged attack mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed to justice, while CBS New York and CBS News 24/7 will add further multiplatform and local coverage, and archive "60 Minutes" reporting will be made available online ahead of the newsmagazine's 59th season starting 13 September.
