CD Projekt Red details new Cyberpunk 2077 update – adding dual-wielding, cross-platform mods, Edgerunners story quests, and more

CD Projekt Red has outlined a substantial Cyberpunk 2077 update, adding new quests, gameplay options, visual customisation and cross-platform mod support. The update is due on 22 October for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series S/X, with the Switch 2 version expected a few days later.

A new Edgerunners prequel quest features characters from the anime and was written with people involved in the show; the update also adds a 16-track Edgerunners radio station. Other additions include dual-wielding for pistols and revolvers, five cyberware customisation shops, Night City Tours, minor tarot arcana, a field-of-view slider and DLSS 4.5 support. Mods can be browsed and installed in-game through Mod.io, with more expected over time.
