CD Projekt Red has revealed in its latest quarterly earnings report that Cyberpunk 2077 has now sold over 40 million copies, with its expansion Phantom Liberty adding a further 15 million sales, underlining the Polish studio's ability to keep older titles commercially relevant years after launch. Joint-CEO Michał Nowakowski described Cyberpunk as an "evergreen franchise" whose value extends beyond the original game, pointing to spin-offs such as the Edgerunners animated series and a new trading card game, while development of a sequel continues to ramp up.

The studio's regular development update shows The Witcher 4, due in 2028, still commands the largest team, but the Cyberpunk sequel has grown to 184 developers, up from four months ago. Two further projects are in early development: "Sirius," believed to be another Witcher-related title, and "Hadar," a wholly new and unspecified IP, with both teams expanding. Investor relations vice-president Karolina Gnaś added that CD Projekt Red aims to hire up to 50 more developers by the end of the year, signalling continued growth across its slate.
