CDPR designed one Edgerunners character internally and expected Studio Trigger to turn it down
CD Projekt Red designed Avida, a character in the upcoming second season of *Cyberpunk: Edgerunners*, and was surprised when animation studio Studio Trigger accepted the design immediately. The approval mattered to executive producer Saya Elder because she had expected the studio to request a more conventionally anime-style look.
Avida is described as King’s former flame: tall, broad-shouldered and dressed in a suit, with comfort taking priority over fashion. She was one of only a handful of characters designed in-house by CD Projekt Red, and Elder praised her blue lipstick. The article also notes that the team previously rejected a request from Studio Trigger to destroy Night City.
In short
- CD Projekt Red designed Avida in-house.
- Studio Trigger approved her design straight away.
- The character has a broad-shouldered, suit-wearing look.
