Chaka Khan to Receive Classic Soul Honor at 2026 Soul Train Awards

Chaka Khan will receive the Classic Soul Honor at the 2026 Soul Train Awards, recognising an artist whose work has helped shape R&B and soul. The award reflects the ceremony’s focus on musicians whose influence extends across music and popular culture.

The show will air on BET and CBS on Friday, 27 November, at 8 p.m. ET/PT. Khan has also received honours this year from We Are Moving the Needle, the Recording Academy and The Connie Orlando Foundation; she has won 10 Grammys and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2023. Her 13th studio album, *Chakzilla*, was released in September and features Sia, Snoop Dogg and Lenny Kravitz.
