A high school football game in Georgia descended into chaos on Friday night after a mass brawl broke out among spectators, prompting emergency services to rush to the scene as crowds fled and a firearm was found discarded on the ground. Five people, including three teenage boys, were arrested following the disorder at Garland Shoemake Stadium during the Newnan High School versus East Coweta High School match, though no serious injuries were reported.

The fight erupted near the home-side concession stand around half-time, with footage showing multiple scuffles breaking out simultaneously as deputies and a state trooper moved in to restrain those involved. The three teenagers arrested were aged 16, 17 and 18; it is not yet clear whether any of those detained were students.
