Charli XCX has named her five favourite songs from her own catalogue in an interview on Scott Lipps’s Lipps Service podcast. The choices span her career and highlight songs she associates with formative releases, live performances, collaborations and the emotional energy of her music.

Her selections were “Stay Away” from True Romance, “Next Level Charli” from 2019’s Charli, the Shygirl-featuring remix of “365”, “Track 10”, and “Vroom Vroom”. She called “Next Level Charli” euphoric, described the “365” remix as a sad song beneath its party atmosphere, noted that she still closes most shows with “Track 10”, and chose “Vroom Vroom” as her first song made with SOPHIE. Charli XCX is due to release her new album, Music, Fashion, Film, on 24 July.
