Charli XCX has released a new single, "Camera," accompanied by a music video directed by frequent collaborator Aidan Zamiri and starring French actor Vincent Cassel. The track is the latest preview of her forthcoming album "Music, Fashion, Film," due for release on 24 July via Atlantic, and sees the singer reflecting on her insecurities about pursuing acting alongside her music career.

Described as a restrained, guitar-led electronic pop track, "Camera" moves away from the harder club sound of "Brat" towards something more personal, with lyrics questioning whether she should try to be "a girl on the screen" as she turns 34. The accompanying video shows Cassel as a frustrated actor on a film set, referencing his famous pose from "La Haine," while Charli directs from behind a large studio camera. The single follows previous album previews "Rock Music," "SS26" and "Wink Wink," and comes ahead of Charli's headline debut at Reading & Leeds and a North American arena tour with Underscores beginning in September.
