Chat Pile, the Oklahoma City noise-rock band, are preparing to release their album Who Loves The Sun next month and have unveiled a new single titled 'Same Rules.' The track was recorded primarily on 4-track cassette and represents another entry in the band's recent productive streak.

According to bassist Stin, 'Same Rules' originated from a creative challenge set by bandmate Ray B., who asked the group to compose a trip-hop track. The resulting song does not meet trip-hop conventions and was rejected by Ray B. for the challenge. The band's approach results in noise-rock musicians attempting but ultimately subverting the genre, accompanied by a music video that parodies a forthcoming film by director Alejandro González Iñárritu.
