Stereogum has published a collection of artist portraits and interviews from the 2026 Newport Folk Festival in Rhode Island, following its visit to the event the previous weekend. The feature highlights the festival’s breadth of performers and guests, while offering visual coverage by photographer Emilio Herce and interviews by Stereogum founder Scott Lapatine.

The gallery includes portraits of artists and figures including Lucy Dacus, Jack Antonoff, Joan Baez, Gillian Welch, Tom Morello, Vulfpeck and CMAT. Initial videos include CMAT remembering Sinéad O’Connor on the third anniversary of her death, Morello discussing his son and new single, and Michael Shannon and Jason Narducy answering questions about R.E.M.’s *Life Rich Pageant* for the album’s 40th anniversary; Stereogum said further videos will follow.
